The Duomo
On the southest edge of the square there is the building of Spedale Nuovo di Santo Spirito ("New Hospital of Holy Spirit") built in 1257
Piazza del Duomo ("Cathedral Square"), it is dominated by four great religious edifices: the Duomo, the Leaning Tower (the cathedral's campanile), the Baptistry and the Camposanto ( the long walk behind, partially covered by the Baptistry.
Florence is just 1.5 hours by bus from Pisa. Arrived this fabulous city of art by evening.

.....I was taking a photo of St Marco's Basilica, the pigeons thought I had food and flew towards me. The nearest pigeon in the picture landed on my head too.

....next stop fashion city Milano but besides shopping. Visited the magnificent Gothic Duomo, 3rd largest church in the world.
You can just stand and look at the many detailed statutes of the Duomo for hours.
